1969 Augusta National Letter - Horton Smith Jacket Return Content - Philip Wahl Signed
This lot features a letter signed by Phillip Russell Wahl Sr, the general manager of Augusta National during the 1960s and 1970s. Wahl was the trusted first lieutenant of club founder Clifford Roberts, who oversaw the day-to-day operations of the National.
This missive on official Augusta National letterhead serves as a thank you letter to Victor East for returning Horton Smith's green jacket to the possession of the Augusta National. The frame measures 9 7/8" x 12 1/4" and houses an undoubtedly unique piece of Masters memorabilia with enlightening content for the golf collecting world. Traditional letter folds appear on this appealing piece of Augusta National correspondence.
