1966 PGA Championship at Firestone CC Contestant Money Clip/Badge - Al Geiberger Winner

The 1966 PGA Championship was held at Firestone Country Club because the original site at Columbine C.C. sustained damage from a flash flood. It was the site of Al Geiberger's only major championship. There is also a solemn memory that accompanies this chapmionship. A few hours after competing in the tournament, Tony Lema along with his wife and two pilots perished as they attempted an emergency landing en route to Illinois. All enamel is retained on this badge measuring 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" which saw only 162 issued to players in 1966 for the tournament.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, November 20th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
