1966 PGA Championship at Firestone CC Contestant Badge - Al Geiberger Winner
The 1966 PGA Championship was held at Firestone Country Club because the original site at Columbine C.C. sustained damage from a flash flood. It was the site of Al Geiberger's only major championship. There is also a solemn memory that accompanies this championship. A few hours after competing in the tournament, Tony Lema along with his wife and two pilots perished as they attempted an emergency landing en route to Illinois. This badge measures to a good condition badge measuring 1 1/2" x 2 1/2" which saw only 162 issued to players in 1966 for the tournament
