1965 Ryder Cup Pendant Signed by American & British Teams
Featured in this lot is Ryder Cup Pendant from the 1965 competition, signed by both the American and British teams. The Pendant measures 9 3/4" x 10 1/4", backing board measures 9 1/2" x 14" on this item, which comes to you in good-excellent condition, with the signatures of the golfers presenting nicely. The United States team defeated the British team 19.5-12.5 on British soil at Royal Birkdale Golf Club. This is truly a great collectors item considering the players who left their autograph on the Pendant. The winning American team featured: Byron Nelson (Non-playing Captain), Arnold Palmer, Julius Boros, Billy Casper, Ken Venturi, Gene Littler, Don January, Tommy Jacobs, Dave Marr, Tony Lema, and Johnny Pott. The British team featured: Harry Weetman (Non-playing Captain), Neil Coles, Bernard Hunt, Peter Alliss, Peter Butler, Jimmy Hitchcock, Dave Thomas, Lionel Platts, Christy O'Connor, Jimmy Martin, and George Will.
