1964 Dated TLS Quarto Dwight Eisenhower
With defference to Bobby Jones, Arnold Palmer, Jack Nicklaus and a host of other captains of industry the most famous member of the Augusta National is none other then Dwight D. Eisenhower. A war hero and 34th President of the United States sure makes up in a hurry for a golf game that let's say was pedestrian. But if you think that you are smitten with the golf bug you are still most likely no match for the love affair that Ike had with the game. The offered typed letter on personal D.D.E. letterhead signed and dated Gettysburg, September 22, 1964 by Eisenhower in this lot goes into detail excusing him from a golf match he could not make. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this signature from the #1 Presidential golfer of all-time, and finds it genuine issuing their letter of authenticity with this lot.
