Seldom scene ticket from Jack Nicklaus' first Professional and Major win, this ticket has a horizontal crease across the middle of ticket, and some chippy corners. Color of ticket from the first of many Arnold Palmer/Jack Nicklaus course battles remains vibrant in color, with no loss of paper, and original string attachment in place. Scarce ticket that is the starting place for any Nicklaus wins or 18 majors collection.

The 1962 U.S. Open Championship was the 62nd U.S. Open played June 14-17 at Oakmont Country Club in Oakmont, Pennsylvania. Jack Nicklaus won the championship in an 18-hole playoff over Arnold Palmer (71 to 74) to win the first of his 18 major championships.
