1962 Seattle World's Fair Invitational Program Signed by Jack Nicklaus
With the Seattle World's Fair held in proximity, the Seattle Open in 1962 attracted Arnold Palmer, Billy Casper, Tony Lema, Ken Venturi, Dave Hill, Julius Boros, Doug Sanders, along with Hollywood stars Bob Hope, James Garner, and a crowd of 6,000 for the pro-am on Wednesday. The tournament which began on Thursday was won that year by the 22-year-old rookie Jack Nicklaus, his second victory as a professional, following his win over Palmer at the U.S. Open in June. The center stapled program remains in excellent condition. It has been cover signed by the champion of the event, Nicklaus, in rich bold black sharpie. James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed this autograph from Jack, and their letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
