1960 Masters Sunday Ticket #592 - Arnold Palmer Winner
Masters paper final round Sunday ticket(badge)#592 is offered in this lot. Imagine back to 1960 and the good time the holder of this pass of admittance must have had. It gave the holder the right to a watch all the exciting shots, and see Arnie receive his second green jacket in post tournament ceremonies. This was the last year of paper tickets at Augusta National before they would switch to the familiar plastic badges for the 1961 Masters. Example retains original string for attachment to patron, and is in vg-ex condition front top left has creasing from left middle to top middle right, reverse shares same creases. It was the height of Arnie's Army, with his legions of fans bringing vocal rooting to the course and taking golf into a new era as a spectator sport viewed by the masses both at the course and also at home on their new black and white televisions. Arnie's swagger captivated the patrons, and his game tamed the Augusta National producing his second of four Masters championships in 1960.
