1959 US Amateur Championship at Broadmoor GC Program - Jack Nicklaus Winner - 1st Major?
A true collectible for years to come, this clean program from the 1959 US Amateur Championship was contested at The Broadmoor in Colorado Springs. At this event, 19-year-old Jack Nicklaus first realized 'that he may have a future in golf' when he defeated Charles Coe; 1 up, in the 36-hole final match for the Championship. Strong spine with all pages intact on this seldom seen program. To this day, Jack still claims that this was the first of his 20 career Majors, not 18 as the media famously quotes, but to Nicklaus' chagrin the trend of the day is to not credit his two Amateur titles as Majors. Only some slight wear present to the spine and covers. Additional photos will be added.
