1959 Masters Series Badge #2203 - Complimentary Stamp

Here we have a 1959 Masters Tournament Series Badge #2203 available to bidders. The 1959 Masters marked the debut of Jack Nicklaus at age 19. The real story of the 1959 Masters Tournament, however, was the dramatic rise of Art Wall, Jr., who carded a final round of 66 while overtaking 12 golfers to win his only major championship. Wall, Jr. would connect on birdies on five of the final six holes at Augusta National, pulling away from Cary Middlecoff, who finished one stroke behind the winner, and two strokes ahead of Arnold Palmer, who was a co-leader entering Sunday's final round. This badge is stamped complimentary on the front and back and the original string is intact. There are what seems to be two adhesive marks on the front and one on the back.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, August 6th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
