1958 Masters Arnold Palmer Commemorative Bronze Medal Ltd Ed #133/240
This offering is for a 1958 Masters Arnold Palmer Commemorative Bronze Medal Ltd Ed #133/240. The front of the medal includes Palmer on Amen Corner, with Masters Tournament - April 6, 1958 written on the top and Augusta National Golf Club on the bottom. The reverse has the King's profile encircled by a leather stripe. The edge is adorned by a markers mark from the Medallic Art Co. in 1986 stating that its bronze. Arnold Palmer eagled the 13th hole on Sunday to claim the first of his four Masters wins over Doug Ford and Fred Hawkins. This was also the tournament where after slight controversy over scoring on the 12th hole for Palmer, Herbert Warren Wind of Sports Illustrated dubbed the 11th, 12th, and 13th holes "Amen Corner" in his article about the tournament. It is 3 1/4" in diameter and has only slight wear on either side of the medal.
