1954 Masters Tournament Series Badge #2779 - Sam Snead Winner
The 18th held Invitational Tournament was as described "The Most Memorable Masters In Years". The early excitement was produced by amateur Billy Joe Patton who held the first round lead, and battled PGA stars Ben Hogan and Sam Snead to the final holes on Sunday. The two legends of Augusta, Hogan and Snead, would finish in a tie at 289. This set-up a Golf junkie's dream come true, as the World's top two players went head to head. Snead would win the playoff 70-71 to notch his third Masters green jacket equaling Jimmy Demaret's record victory total. Offered here is series ticket # 2779 from that memorable tournament. The string is intact and there is some tearing and paper loss to the ticket, please refer to the photographs provided. This is the ever popular, but seldom seen Series ticket.
