1952 Open Championship at Royal Lytham St. Annes Programme - Bobby Locke Winner
A 1952 program from the 1952 Open Championship held at Royal Lytham St. Annes is offered to you in this lot. This program covers the entirety of the 1952 Open, which Bobby Locke defeated Peter Thomson for his third of four Claret Jugs. Thomson fared incredibly well at The Open, as this was the first of seven consecutive tournaments that he finished as champion or runner-up. Thomson won in 1954, 1955, 1956, 1958, 1965. Locke won over Thomson by one stroke and also won the Open Championship in 1949, 1950, and later in 1957.This program is in excellent condition.
