1951 Open Championship Wed-Thurs Program - Royal Portrush plus Pairing Sheet - Missing Piece
There was only one man standing in Bobby Locke's way in claiming 3 consecutive Open Championship victories, and his name was Max Faulkner. The flashy dressed English golfer only played his majors at The Open. Presented here is a program as well as a Thursday pairing sheet from the 1951 contest held at Royal Portrush. The program measures 5" x 7 1/4", but unfortunately has the front bottom right corner cut out from it, most likely from someone separating an autograph perhaps. This missing part of the cover puts the condition as poor.
