1950 Augusta National Masters Golf Tournament Gift-Medallion w/18 Pin Flags

In 1947 the Augusta National started a tradition of presenting a gift to invited players at the Masters Tournament. In the long line of gifts one of the most favored by recipients and collectors alike is the 1950 medallion. Measuring approx. 3 inches in diameter this bronze colored medallion was encircled by 18 pin flags the center portion of medallion contained a raised logo of the Augusta National Golf Club which was encased in laurels. Reverse of medallion depicts the Masters clubhouse with block letter scripting Masters Tournament presenting at the top of this undated gift of the club. Very limited distribution, with classic design on this early not commercially sold Masters gift makes this a treasure for collectors.
