1950 Dixie Amateur Tournament Tray - Frank Stranahan

The Dixie Amateur contested in South Florida orginated in 1924 and has been transformed into an elite event attracting a strong field of top amateur players. In 1950 Frank Stranahan put his name among the ranks of top players who would win the event, and later graduate to the PGA Tour. This list includes Andy Bean, Bruce Fleisher, Lanny Wadkins, Nolan Henke, Len Mattice and Jesper Parnevik. For his win in 1950 Stranahan received the champions tray offered in this lot which is engraved:
