1949 Masters Tournament SERIES Badge #3175
This 1949 Masters ticket comes in the shape of an octagon and is the only one between 1948-51 that was printed in yellow and not red. This ticket numbered 3175 measures 3 1/2" by 3 1/2". Ticket presents in incredible condition when reviewed for corner strength, clarity of color and depth of stamping. Two flaws to be noted being a very small area of paper loss on the back (around the word "of") and a scuff mark to the left of the word "Improve," also on the back of the ticket. 1949 was a significant year in Masters history with Sam Snead's first Masters triumph combined with the first ever presentation of a green jacket to a Masters champion. This example of the seldom seen '49 SERIES TICKET merits inclusion in a high end collection of Masters tickets so many collectors are striving for, but so few are achieving.
