1948 Masters Tournament Gift - Brass Ashtray Depicting the Par 5 13th Hole Azalea
A special offering in this lot comes in the form of the brass 1948 Masters Tournament player gift depicting the hole known as Azalea, Augusta National Golf Club's Par 5 13th hole. This treasured keepsake, which presents in top unpolished condition (please note some age related concerns which can easily be corrected if so desired on underside), was the third installment of a yearly tradition began in 1946 of presenting a gift to each of the contestants in the invitational event. Next to the assembling of a run of tickets/badges from each of the Masters tournaments the collecting of each of the player gifts awarded has become a favorite among advanced Masters collectors. This ashtray etched with highest detailed design has become a true lynchpin of completing this collection.
8" diameter
