1947 US Open Wire Photos: Lew Worsham with Trophy, & Harbert, Todd, & Ransom Under Par Photo

Lew Worsham was the champion of the 1947 U.S. Open played at the St. Louis Country Club. His playoff victory over Sam Snead was most likely the most disappointing of Snead's long run of sorrows at his country's Open championships. Presented here are two 8" x 10" photographs from the 1947 US Open, one of Worsham with the trophy, and the other shows Chick Harbert, Harry Todd, and Henry Ransom chatting after the first round of the tournament.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, June 18th, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
