1946 Masters Tournament Friday Ticket #1028 Signed by Fred Astaire
The 1946 Masters Tournament was the 10th contested Masters at Augusta National Golf Club. It marked the first Masters since 1942 because of World War II. Herman Keiser went on to win the first post-war Masters Tournament. Keiser and Ben Hogan both three-putted the 18th hole on Sunday to allow Keiser to win by one stroke. Here we have a Friday ticket #1028 signed by Fred Astaire. Fred Astaire was an extremely popular American dancer, actor, and singer well known for his dancing ability on stage and in theater. This is a seldom seen ticket that is well worth a look for the Masters collectors. This desired badge remains in a very strong near mint condition with sharp corners. The proud owner of this blazing example of the '46 ticket will never have to upgrade for condition reasons.
James Spence Authentication (JSA) has reviewed the signature and their auction letter of authenticity will come with this lot.
Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, January 29th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
