1940 PGA Championship at Hershey CC Contestant Badge - Byron Nelson Winner

The 1940 PGA Championship, held in Hershey, Pennsylvania, was Byron Nelson's first PGA Championship victory. He beat Sam Snead for the fourth of his five major titles. This is an exceptionally solid example of the 1940 PGA Championship Contestants Badge with tremendous eye appeal. The 1 1/4" x 1 1/4" badge retains rich, deep coloring on its enamel, unscratched surface. Pin remains in strong working fashion with original pin back intact. These badges with only a small field of 120 players in the 23rd PGA Championship remain difficult to obtain, as is the case with many of the pre-World War II player badges of admittance.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, November 20th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
