1938 PGA Championship at Shawnee Country Club Program - Paul Runyan Winner

Paul Runyan defeated Sam Snead 8 & 7 for the largest defeat in the PGA Championship finals in match play. Runyan was nicknamed "Little Poison" after his killer short game despite not being able to drive the ball very far. This was Runyan's second PGA Championship title, the first of which came in 1934. Offered here is a 79 year old fully intact program from the 1938 PGA Championship that rates in overall excellent condition with its flaws being noted for accuracy, which display as follows: show-wear and minor stains to the front cover and spine, as well as wear and a small area of paper loss to the bottom left corner of the back cover. Please see numerous photos of this fine example of the 1938 PGA program.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, October 1st, with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
