1937 US Amateur Championship at Alderwood GC Contestant Badge - Goodman Winner
With match play not changing to stroke play for another 30 years, Johnny Goodman took down Billows with 2 up to win the 1937 US Amateur Championship. Goodman is also recognized as the last amateur to win the US Open, and that was back in 1933. Remarkably this very good condition contestant badge comes with a fully intact pin. Extreme limited number of these 1930's United States Golf Association Amateur Contestant Badges are still around, much less in this condition. Roughly 140 of these were given to contestants who competed that year. 1 1/4"
