1935 Ridgewood CC Letter to PGA's Jacobus Asking Not to List Caddy Numbers So Programs Can Sell
This letter was written with the intent to push and increase demand for the Ryder Cup programs of 1935, using an interesting marketing effort. The thought was to not release the caddy numbers to the public prior to printing the information in the official 1935 Ryder Cup program. This forces the patrons' hand to purchase the program if they are interested in tracking their favorite players on the course. A letter of from PGA Historian Bob Denney will accompany this lot.
