1933 US Open Championship at North Shore CC Contestant Badge - Johnny Goodman
Amateur Johnny Goodman went on to win the 1933 U.S. Open (becoming the fifth and final amateur to this day to win the Championship). The closest an amateur has come to a U.S. Open title since was in 1960 when a young Jack Nicklaus was the runner-up, two strokes back. This difficult 1933 U.S. Open Contestants badge is in very good condition and features a blue, white and gold color scheme. The USGA design is the cassic version seen on their event contestant badges during this time period. 1 1/8" x 1 1/4"
