1932 US Amateur at Baltimore CC Ticket #0136 - Ross Somerville Winner

Here we have the finest known 1932 United States Amateur Ticket. This Badge is Mint with the original green string still attached and no paper loss or creases. Early U.S.G.A. Amateur are almost impossible to find and a 1932 paper ticket is right up there in scarcity with any Amateur badge. The condition on this 35th Amateur (first contested 1895) is just amazing, this is a ticket which would score highly if graded. The match was played over the Five Farms course, ten miles out of Baltimore. Ross Somerville became the first Canadian to win the U.S.G.A. Amateur. He defeated Jesse Guilford in the semifinal, 7 and 6, and Johnny Goodman in the final, 2 and 1, before almost 5000 ticket holders.

The condition on this beauty is as rare as an albatross. Don't miss this opportunity to cross this off your want list, it may never present itself again.

Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on September 27th with extended bidding to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
