1932 USGA Women's Amateur Championship - Full Week Admission Badge
Virginia Van Wie defeated Glenna Collett Vare 10 and 8 at the Salem Country Club in Peabody Massachusetts to win this championship in overwhelming fashion. This is a very scarce ticket. it was given complimentary status as evidenced by the writing across the front of the badge. It is quite large with a 3 ½ “diameter. and retains what appears to be the original string.
A significant badge in that it was first of 3 consecutive amateur titles. (1932, 1933, 1934) won by Van Wie.
In 1934 she was given the Female Athlete of the year Award by the Associated Press.
