1932 USGA Amateur Public Links Contestant Badge
Employing the design as used by the United States Golf Association since the early 1920's until the early 1930's for Contestants Badges at each of their Championships. This Depression era contestants badge from the 1932 United States Amateur Public Links Championship comes from an unknown player. The green/blue enamel which encircles the prominent USGA lettering can still be clearly read as "Amateur Public Links Championship July 19 To 23, 1932". The scalloped edge badge was manufactured by the Whitehead & Hoag Co. Newark, NJ, and this is clearly stamped on the reverse of the badge. Missing the original issued clasp.
Please note: This auction will end at 7:00pm EST on Sunday, November 20th with EXTENDED BIDDING to follow. All items in the auction will remain open until no items have received a bid within a 15 minute time period. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended
