1931 Babe Ruth Teaching Daughter Setup and Drive Stance Photo
The Great Bambino, Sultan of Swat, the Caliph of Clout, Babe Ruth is captured by a photographer giving golf lessons to his young daughter Julia on 2/11/1931. This crystal clear shot perfectly frames both Ruth and his daughter facing each other on the tee box. The 1931 season would be Ruth's 12th as a New York Yankee and four years prior to his retirement in 1935. "Golf Calls The Babe. Fit as a fiddle and prophesying a record crop of home runs for the coming season, the mighty bambino of baseball, Babe Ruth, arrived at St. Petersburg, Fla., for his annual pre-season sessions on the golf links.
