1930 US Amateur National Championship Program - Bobby Jones Grand Slam Final
Offered in this lot we have a 1930 program from the final leg of the Grand Slam of Majors won by Bobby Jones. George Trevor sportswriter for the New York Sun would phrase Jones' four Major triumphs in 1930 as such, "stormed the impregnable quadrilateral of golf." This is one of the tougher golf programs to locate in any condition, and like Jones' in 1930 this one excels. Program remains in excellent condition (for accuracy corner wear left spine and a couple minimal size stains on lower portion of cover, I'm nitpicking) , but does exhibit newspaper clippings with coverage of the event which have been attached to the front inside cover. This publication of the United States Golf Association provides great insight to a year of Bobby Jones's previously unaccomplished feats.
