1930 Time Magazine with Bobby Jones on Cover - September 22nd
Very seldom do athletes ever grace the cover of Time Magazine by themselves. In the year 1930 some of the news makers pictured on the cover were Queen Mary, Al Capone, Herbert Hoover, The Duchess of York and oh yes on the September 22nd, 1930 issue Bobby Jones. It was only the second time a male golfer had made the sought after cover of this weekly in the seven years of printing since 1923 (yes, the first and only other to that time was Jones, himself in 1925). The complete, full issue offered here comes in great condition (wear along spine is only detraction).

Still the lowest rate among major golf auction houses, there is a buyer's premium of 17.5% for all items. All lots are free to be bid on until extended bidding has ended.
