This approx. 3 7/16 X 5 5/16 postcard depicts Jones on the first hole of the event with a large gallery surrounding the tee box with the Forest Hills-Ricker Hotel in the background. Reverse of card is inked in fountain pen "Hi Bust had a great Birthday the wife says hello regards Joe" and addressed to a B. Newsome of Barnesville, Ga. The reverse which carries some minimal browning discolorations also notes that this is a hand-colored post card and carries one cent Franklin stamping and post marking "Augusta 19 6 PM 1936 GA." and "Air Mail Saves Time". The card titled "Golf at Forest Hills Hotel August, Georgia" was offered at the hotel during the early to mid-thirties.
