"Here is a new informal portrait of Bobby Jones after he was awarded the Sullivan Medal at The Medinah Athletic Club here (just outside of Chicago, Illinois)," captions this still of the great grand slam champion. This crystal clear shot is a close one by the well known Underwood & Underwood photography studio out of New York, New York. Jones peers directly at the lensman while donning his patented suit and tie and sporting his finely tuned center hair part. The wide range of value in this photographical composition brings out the highlights of Jones' facial features. The verso contains Underwood stamping and pencil notation along with the loose corresponding caption. It remains in good condition free from chipping and with four straight edges, with the only slight condition detractor being the mark through Jones' left eye. This 6 1/2" x 8 1/2"
