1920's Photos of Ohio State Bent Nurseries - Columbus, OH. - Wendell Miller Collection
These never before offered images are of the Ohio State Bent Nurseries - Columbus, OH. from engineer in charge of this course as well as Augusta National Golf Club, and a host of others, Wendell P. Miller. Photos captioned: 'Airplane view of rows of grown solid in 8 months. Digging and bagging Washington Creeping Bent Stolons for springs shipment. Note how Stolon Sods hang together like a rug.' These images have been stored in the files of the Miller family for over 85 years. It cries out for ownership by the finest photo libraries or collections of golf history as an emphasis. The photo is in good condition, with very little discoloration and binder holes from usage on page. each 3 1/2" x 6 1/2." Letter of provenance from the family of Wendell P. Miller comes with this lot.
