1914 Oakmont Country Club Postcard Featuring Clubhouse
With an establishment date in 1903, Oakmont is widely regarded as the "oldest top-ranked golf course in the United States." They have hosted nine US Open Championships, more than any other club. In addition to those are three PGA Championships and five US Amateurs. This postcard represents the historic clubhouse only 11 years after it opened its doors. "Oakmont PA" is written in pen on the front, below the clubhouse image. The reverse that is postmarked 1914 has a time-period message regarding the clubhouse from a Pennsylvania native.
