Full title reads: "British Golf Links: A Short Account of The Leading Golf Links of the United Kingdom". Published J.S. Virtue in 1897, this first edition book covers 51 of the United Kingdom's most appealing links courses, including Deal, Aberdovey, and Brighton. A snapshot of the late Victorian golfing scene, much mention is made of clubs, players, courses and club houses. All the main clubs are written about often accompanied by photographs showing matches in progress, club houses, and more. An illustrated book that reveals the history of Britain's finest links courses accompanied by Hutchinson's text. An incredible addition to your collection.
