1863 Historical Gossip About Golf & Golfers by A Golfer 1st Edition George Robb - Seldom Seen
This anthology of golf is widely considered one of the most significant and earliest golf publications that have been produced. The 1863 Historical Gossip About Golf and Golfers by A Golfer gives a history lesson for the historic Bruntsfield Links. Dutch "Kolf" and French "Jeu de Mail" are verbally depicted between these covers. The "Cock o' the Green" and "The Golfers Garland" are also features of this book, the latter being a reprint from Thomas Mathison's 'The Goff' third edition. Over 150 years later this publication is very much sought after to centerpiece virtually any golf library. It is in good condition, with some creasing.
